Terms of use

The rules of the game, in plain words.

This English version is provided for convenience. In case of any difference, the French version prevails.

1. Purpose

These terms govern access to and use of the Airval service, published by Company name : to be completed. Creating an account means you accept these terms. Paid plans are also governed by the terms of sale.

2. The service

Airval helps a small company get ready for a sale. Depending on the plan, the service lets you, among other things:

  • import the accounting entries file (FEC) and the Stripe invoice export;
  • file and label the documents of a data room;
  • get an indicative value range, how it changes, and a readiness score;
  • spot what a buyer would flag, with a suggested action for each point.

3. Access and account

The service is intended for businesses. You confirm that you act on behalf of a company and have the authority to bind it.

You confirm your email address when signing up and keep your credentials confidential: any action taken with your account is deemed to be taken by you. The owner of an organisation manages their team’s access (owner, admin, member).

4. Nature of the results

Value ranges, scores, findings and projections are calculated automatically from the data you provide and from market assumptions. Their quality depends on the quality of your data.

Indicative range calculated from your data and market assumptions. It is neither a certified valuation nor investment advice.

Nor are they legal, accounting or tax advice. The decisions you take remain yours; for any transaction, seek advice from the relevant professionals.

5. Your content and your data

You remain the owner of the files and information you upload. You confirm that you have the right to upload them, including when they contain third parties’ personal data.

You grant the publisher only the right to host and process them in order to provide the service, for as long as your account exists. They are used for no other purpose.

For the personal data they contain, the publisher acts as your company’s processor and undertakes to:

  • process them only to provide the service, on your instructions;
  • keep them confidential and secure (encryption at rest, role-based access, access log);
  • use only the sub-processors listed in the privacy policy;
  • help you respond to requests from the people concerned and meet your obligations;
  • delete them when the service ends, unless the law requires them to be kept.

6. Acceptable use

  • Only upload lawful content, free of malware.
  • Do not try to access another organisation’s data or to get around security measures.
  • Do not scrape the service or try to reproduce how it works.
  • Do not use the service in a way that would disrupt it for other users.

7. Availability and changes

The publisher takes reasonable steps to keep the service available and secure, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability. Maintenance may suspend it temporarily. The service evolves: features may be added, changed or removed.

8. Intellectual property

The software, calculation methods, brand and content of the service belong to the publisher. You have a personal, non-exclusive right of use for as long as your account exists, and no other right.

9. Liability

The publisher is bound by an obligation of means. It is not liable for indirect damage, nor for decisions taken on the basis of the service’s results. Its total liability, for all damages combined, is limited to the amounts you paid for the service over the previous twelve months.

10. Suspension and closure

You can close your account at any time by writing to contact@airval.example. The publisher may suspend or close an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, after informing you unless it is urgent.

11. Changes to the terms

These terms may change. You will be notified by email of any significant change before it takes effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, any dispute falls under the competent courts of the publisher’s registered office.
